Brazilian despise Latin American identit

An unprecedented survey of public opinion confirmed what history and common sense already suggested: the Brazilian despise Latin America, but at the same time, feels like natural leader of the region.

Only 4% of Brazilians define themselves as Hispanic, up from an average of 43% in six other Latin American countries (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru).

Plus, who lives in Brazil estimates that the country would be the best representative of Latin America in the UN Security Council, but does not want free Latino transit through its borders or prioritize the region in foreign policy.
